Unless you live under a rock you know the Steelers will play their rival the Baltimore Ravens this saturday in the Divisional Playoffs. This will be the third time they have met this season.
Ravens 17 Steelers 14
Important note here is this game was during Ben Roethlisberger’s suspension. No surprise neither team ran the ball well. However Joe Flacco passed for 256 yards with a touchdown and interception. Mendenhall did have 2 TD’s but only 79 yards. The Steelers lack of passing was the difference in this one.
Steelers 13 Ravens 10
These games have not been shootouts as you can see. Roethlisberger was back during this game. Steelers scored 10 points in fourth quarter to win this one. Flacco threw for 266 with a touchdown while Ben threw for 253 with a touchdown and interception. Boldin was solid in both games.
One thing we know is it will be unlikely that these teams score more than 20 points each. They also will not run the ball well either. So it’s gonna come down to passing. Both teams have iffy cornerbacks with a dynamic safety. I will give the edge to Roethlisberger over Flacco though. Flacco stunk it up in the playoffs last season while Roethlisberger is 8-2 all time.
A win for the Steelers will give them 32 post season wins. One behind the Dallas Cowboys. They will also appear in an NFL record 15th conference championship.
