Are the Eagles ever going to win with Andy Reid?
Well, probably not. He is finished after this season. At least he left a trail of snappy tribute songs in his wake.

Tim Tebow is willing the Denver Broncos to one ugly victory after another. How can this be?
Broncos football czar John Elway doesn’t believe Teblow is the Next One for his franchise. He appeared eager to latch onto one of the top young quarterbacks in the 2012 NFL Draft and groom that lad to become the team’s new leader.
Tebow has ruined that plan by leading his team on an unlikely playoff charge in ungainly fashion. There goes Denver's draft position!
While Tebow has earned few style points along the way, he infused the Broncos with badly needed confidence.
“That was clear late Sunday afternoon in every nook of the visitor’s dressing room, where there is a feeling that the Broncos will find a way, whether it’s a missed field goal, a stout defense or an unorthodox quarterback,” wrote FoxSports.com’s Billy Witz. “So when Tebow headed down a hallway toward the team bus and passed John Elway, the once and current Bronco icons — now boss and employee — did not turn to acknowledge each other.
“But perhaps they did not need to since the question between them remains the same as it will for the rest of this extended trial that has turned into a playoff chase: How good can Tebow be? The answer on Sunday is becoming a familiar one: Good enough.”
CRUMMY EFFORT OF THE DAY
By falling to the Patriots 38-20 at home, the Eagles cemented their standing as the NFL’s Disappointment of the Year. Coach Andy Reid is toast, as Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Phil Sheridan noted:
At Reid's zenith, the Eagles faced the New England Patriots in a Super Bowl. They lost, but they were competitive with what was inarguably the league's most dominant team.
Now, at Reid's nadir, the Eagles lost to the Patriots again. No shame in that. But to lose by 38-20 (thanks to a cheap late touchdown, the score wasn't as lopsided as the game), to not be capable of competing with Bill Belichick's team - there is plenty of shame in that.
To go one full calendar year with exactly two wins (against eight losses) in Lincoln Financial Field, there is plenty more shame in that.
To lock in another year of steady regression - from NFC runner-up in 2008, to 11-5 in 2009, to 10-6 last year to no better than 9-7 this year - there is plenty of shame in that.
JUST WONDERING
How, again, did Kyle Orton end up with the Chiefs?
How do the Rams keep finding ways to lose games?
FROM THE TWEETDECK
Here are some excerpts from our NFL timeline Sunday:
Sports Pickle: “Tyler Palko has turnovers on 3 consecutive snaps. If 4 in a row isn't a record, I feel really bad for the record holder.”
Peter Schrager: “NFL Circle of Life: (Joe) Flacco transferred from Pitt because he was never going to start with Tyler Palko there with him.”

Jimmy Traina: “I can't even wrap my brain around the thought of Tebow in overtime. The clutchness of the most clutch player in the most clutch of times!”
Sports Pickle: “Tebow to Elway: ‘I'm rubber, you're glue. Whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you. Also, horses are made into glue.’”
Joe Sports Fan: “When Tim Tebow refers to overtime, he calls it ‘The New Testament’.”
Sports Pickle: “Thing you'll say in 2019: ‘Eventually NFL defenses will figure out this offense and then Tebow is DONE.’”

FROM THE BLOG-O-SPEAR
Can’t Stop The Bleeding noted the Red Sox managerial dilemma:
If you believe the rumor mill, Gene Lamont is GM Ben Cherrington’s pick for new skipper of the Boston Red Sox, while CEO Larry Lucchino is said to favor former Rangers/Mets manager Bobby Valentine. Though the latter’s poor reputation with opponents and former players is the stuff of legend, Lucchino must not be an avid reader of the baseball press, as he asked former New York Times scribe Murray Chass for his opinion of Valentine. “I would rather not have people I am interviewing ask me questions,” grumbled Chass, who somehow manages to resent the intrusion while still going to great lengths to bury Bobby V.
As long as people are producing videos like this. Nice acting job by the kids.
