Gaining ground
My last outing went against my normal routine, even though it was a really successful one. On Tuesday, I threw a 30 pitch bullpen, and was notified that night that I was going to pitch on Wednesday because Derek Lowe had hurt his hand playing catch. Normally I have 2 days rest before I pitch, but having thrown the day before I wasn't as fresh for the game as I should have been. This late in the season, during the playoff run, there's going to be times when I have to pitch on short notice and without a lot of rest.
It has been crucial for the team to have two winning series this past homestand, and we have done it. We took 2 out of 3 against the Padres, and have won both games against the Diamondbacks with one remaining tomorrow. We have really gained a lot of ground in the playoff race. Hopefully we can take tomorrow against the Diamondbacks, and have a strong series in Colorodo.
Sorry I haven't posted the pictures but I'll try to have them up by Tuesday.

It's easy to post photos Mr. Billingsley. You should be able to get the best action shots of yourself. If you can't get your hands on some top notch images of your awesome self in action, well you need a Lloyd.

The Dodgers just need to keep winning and

Hey Chaddy (got that from Bellorin when he would warm you up in Vegas).
I was curious, the pitch that seems to have a little movement at the end, is that a cutter, or just a real hard slider? Or are you working on both? -
Chad... good luck the rest of the way!!! You guys are playing great ball right now!

I just wanted to congradulate you on your last 2 starts, that's including the 6 inning no decision on 9/7, I would just like to add that I think this blog is a great idea. If someone would of told me 20 years ago, that these things through modern technology would would be, I'd think I would never live to see them.. Congrads again Bilzy, you're an asset on this team that will help bring the Dodgers back to prominence.

Good job taking these two series against Az and SD. it looks like the team is finally playing up to there potential and has a good chance of making the playoffs now. just gotta take each game by itself. go out there and take the last game from Az. 5-1 homestand would be great.

good lucky tomorrow. Not like you really need it...

Bills,
You're pitching some solid baseball. Keep up the goodwork. It's nice to know we got ourselves a staff ace for many years to come.
That was some crazy stuff with that fan climbing onto the field today. Glad no one got hurt (except the clown who deserved it). -
Bills-
Can't wait to see those pics! You're doing an amazing job for just your second year and we Dodger fans are so lucky to see a homegrown ace getting better and better before our very eyes. -
That picture of you guys is hilarious. At least you lucked out not having to wear tights. A young guy walking around in tights in San Fransisco...

Good Luck in today's first game of the double header against Rockies. It's another big game, and you got what it takes. GO DODGERS

great start today. Sorry Lurch had to come in there and add that extra run to your ERA. I mean it wasn't obvious that was going to happen or anything.

chad u got some damn tree trunks for legs.

Hey Bills great game today. You had a solid outting too bad for the offense. But hey Blue will get the next three. Go Dodgers!!!!
-
Today we just couldn't get the hitting and the pitching together, You had a good outing, but you didn't get any offensive support. Ask Derek Lowe about that. In the 2nd game the offense came alive and the pitching failed. Unusual night when both Broxton & Saito got bombed.

You guys looked great in those outfits! You guys can still win the wild card. I believe in you! Keep going
-
Good game today Bills, too bad they didnt give you any run support (at least you didnt lose your 3rd game this year 1-0 though). The pic is awesome, but i cant figure out who is wearing the batman and Robin suits. who are they? lol.

As this season winds to a close, I just wanted to say that you have been a real asset to the
-
ok, so you got the 5 losses out of your system. whatever. Now you can just sweep the rest of the season and hopefully the padres, d-bags and phllies all suffer horrible, career ending injuries between now and next week. Too bad we dont have 8 Ethier clones to bat 1-8...i bet theyd all hit HR after HR

Chad... what do you think of Jeff Kent's comments that there is a rift in the locker room between the vets and the "kids"... is he "right on" or "on crack"? Do you tink that this team needs more veterans or was it cool with the mix of young and old?
