Former standout California Golden Bear linebacker Worrell Williams will reportedly (via Pro Football Talk) sign with the Denver Broncos, joining his older brother DJ and former Grant High and Cal teammate Syd'Quan Thompson. This is awesome news for Williams, who played extremely well for the Bears as a 3 year starter (I think?) and was honorable mention All Pac-10 as a senior in 2009 but was not selected in the NFL Draft. Last season he played for the UFL's California Redwoods, and worked out in his hometown of Sacramento, always believing he'd make it in the NFL.

Big props to the Broncos for giving this guy a chance, he's a hard worker, great athlete, and will definitely pay dividends if he can stay healthy.
