As this is my first post, I'm a little bit conflicted about writing something even remotely negative about the greatest college QB in the history of Boise State and debatedly, in all of college football. But alas, I must. I'll get right to the point...Kellen Moore will NOT make it in the NFL. Ok, Ok... before all of you Bronco Nation Bandwagoners jump all over me, let's look at reality. The NFL is all about taking college level stars attributes to the next level. What is that you say? Well, speed, strength, size and endurance as well as plain old athletic ability is what makes college stars the run-of-the-mill athletes of the NFL. If you don't have the athletic ability and the physical attributes to be on the same playing field as the rest of the populus in the NFL, you're going to fail. There, I said it. Kellen is too short and doesn't have the rifle arm to get the ball to the receiver in the split second that he's open, therefore it will appear that his accuracy is suspect. "Too short" some of you may say? Yes, too short. I'll grant you the fact this his offensive line was pretty big and he didn't seem to have any trouble with that, but with the caliber of talent that Boise State played against on a consistent, week in and week out schedule, the defensive players were not even close to NFL size, speed and strength. He's not going to have the luxury of checking down to his 3rd or 4th option. He's going to have to get the ball out of his hands NOW. The one thing I will concede here is that I do think Kellen is probably the most cerebral of all the QB's in the draft, yes even Andrew Luck. Kellen won more games than ANYONE EVER as a college QB. If he can somehow use that NFL quality gift of his brain to find a way to overcome or even equalize the increase in size, speed and strength he's going to face everyday of his NFL opportunity, he may have a shot.......a long shot.
