How's it going Yardbarkers? I wanted to take this time to thank all of you guys for the support over the season. The team and I really appreciate it and cannot thank you enough. It really does make a big difference. Now, with just a few weeks left, we need your support more than ever. We want to finish the season on a strong note, and you can aid us in doing so. Heading to Los Angeles for our series with the Dodgers we all have one thing on our mind: We need to extend our divisional lead. Now our last few meetings against the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium have not gone our way but we are looking to turn that around. Last night was a great start. Things have been going great. Everyone on the team is contributing and that just does so much to help a team win. We want to keep the momentum rolling and continue to prove that we are a strong team that will hopefully being playing late into October...and beyond Wish us luck tonight and I will be getting with you guys again soon. Over the weekend we had a great 3 game series sweeping the Chicago Cubs. Now we're back in Cincinnati starting another challenging and important series against another divisional foe the St. Louis Cardinals. Although it did not go the way we would of liked tonight we still have two games left in the series. We hope you will be there to help us beat the Cards-our fan support has been great and now is the time for all of us to really work to make our goals happen. Every divisional series is meaningful in our quest to win the division. Come out and watch us tomorow night as Johnny Cueto leads against the Cards. See you at Great American!

This afternoon we start our weekend series against the Cubs in Chicago. Our team is really excited about how we are playing and where we are in the Central Division standings. We would really like to do well this weekend and keep our momentum going. It is always very competitive playing other teams in the division and the Cubs are no exception. Every game is an important game especially this time of the year. I plan to blog after this important series. Wish us luck this weekend. Bye guys.

What's up guys? So, we have an All-Star snubbing on our hands. Joey Votto, maybe you've heard of him, has not been initially chosen to participate in this year's mid summer classic. It's pretty unbelievable considering how his numbers stack up against the rest of the league. With all that being said, the fans have the power of naming the final vote participant for the team. PLEASE go toreds.com and cast as many votes as you can for Mr. Votto!! He is well(maybe the most) deserving of being an all star this season and with your help he can be just that. Remember, the outcome of the game decides home field advantage for the world series. Just like a lot of you guys I am really excited to see where the greatest group of NBA free agents might land this summer. I am especially anxious to see where LeBron James, my favorite player, will wind up. Being that I live so close to Houston during the offseason some of my friends and I will attend some Houston Rockets games. That being said my next biggest concern is what kind of moves the Rockets will try to make to bring in a key free agent or two. With Yao Ming deciding this week he will continue to be a Rocket I think that will really help bring some strong talent to Houston. I am really interested to see how this whole free agency will turn out. Maybe some of you guys could share what you think might happen and who goes where. You guys take care and have a safe 4th of July. I will be back soon.

What a great summer for sports. With the NBA Finals, the World Cup, the College World Series, and Major League Baseball all going on at the same time this is a sports fans dream. I personally enjoy watching all of these and am I excited to see how it all turns out. The team and I are very excited with the our consistent play and we know we can do even better. We are starting an important series against the Dodgers tonight who have also been playing very good baseball. It's a long season and your continued support makes a huge difference. What's up Yard?? Hope all you guys are doing great. I am currently enjoying an off day before we start our series tomorrow against the St. Louis Cardinals. We hope to keep going the way we left off in Pittsburgh. Sweeping the series against the Pirates felt great and I feel like were all having a lot of fun. The last few series we have really turned it on and we are only one game back from the Cardinals for first place in our division. Hey guys! The team and I are preparing for tonight's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Over the past few days we have been in Houston playing the Astros. We ended up winning all three games of that series. I think it was a real confidence boost for the team, and everyone is feeling really good. I especially liked playing in Houston because I had a lot of family and friends at the games. I am from Beaumont, TX which is about 90 miles from Houston. It was really nice getting to visit with everyone between my games. Well, I am going to get ready for batting practice. Check my blog within the next week or so for some more updates on how the season is going.

How's it going YardBarkers? Hope all you guys are doing well. We are just about to start the third week of the season and so far it has flown by. Although we haven't gotten off to the start we would have liked, I know we are only going to get better. It has been great to have the support of our fans at Great American Ball Park and it is fun to see the fans while we are on the road. A few days ago we celebrated Jackie Robinson Day. I love this tradition that Major League Baseball has started and it is truly an honor to wear his number. We are about to start our homestand against the Dodgers Tuesday. I hope to see you guys out at the Park.
