The Indianapolis Colts suspended P Pat McAfee for one game last week, so on Monday, they signed P Jeremy Kapinos to fill in. Kapinos, and S Chip Vaughn, who also signed with the team on Monday, visited the Colts late last week. Vaughn will take the place of TE Dallas Clark (wrist) on the 53-man roster, who was placed on injured reserve.
McAfee was suspended for conduct detrimental to the team stemming from a recent arrest of public intoxication.
Vaughn was selected in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints. He was waived by the Saints on Sept. 4. The Philadelphia Eagles signed him to their practice squad on Sept. 6, but released him on Sept. 21.
Vaughn, who has excellent size, was highly thought of by personnel evaluators coming into last year's draft, but he missed his entire rookie season because of a knee injury.
