Seahawks want to trade back
The Seattle Seahawks would like to trade back in the first round in order to acquire more draft picks.
“Personally, I’d like to move back,” Seahawks general manager Josh Schneider said, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligence. “I have confidence in our ability in those middle rounds to do some good stuff.”
It’s believed in NFL circles that Seattle (No. 25 overall) along with quarterback-needy teams such as the Minnesota Vikings (No. 12 overall) and Miami Dolphins (No. 15 overall) would like to trade down to possibly select Colin Kaepernick, Christian Ponder or Andy Dalton.
But it’s much harder to trade down.
“It’s actually easier to go up than it is to go back,” Schneider said. “I think there’s a number of teams that would like to go back right now. Not having a third-round pick, I’m not excited about that.”
