The Tennessee Titans are in an unenviable position of not knowing who will be their starting quarterback next season.
Veteran Kerry Collins is unsigned and Vince Young will be either cut or traded, leaving Rusty Smith as the only quarterback left on their 80-man roster who took snaps last season.
“We all know it’s a quarterback league, and that’s the No. 1 spot to have. We feel we have some great support staff around our quarterback who are very strong on our team, but there is no doubt we have uncertainty there,” Titans head coach Mike Munchak said.
Munchak knows the Titans are one of many in the NFL with uncertainty at perhaps the most important position on the football team.
“There are so many ways you can go. And you just have to wait until you find that person,” Munchak said.” Unfortunately, there is more than one team in that situation going into this season. That’s probably the toughest position to have to find.”
