Philadelphia Eagles starting QB Michael Vick did not appear during a scheduled interview on the ESPN show First Take on Friday. However, the team said in a statement that wasn’t the case.
"Lou Tilley from the Maxwell Football Club confirmed an interview on ESPN with Michael Vick without ever asking Michael Vick, me or any representative of Vick. Michael or the Eagles never canceled. We were never asked in advance,” Eagles media relations director Derek Boyko said.
Vick recently canceled a scheduled appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
"There were just some things I didn't want to touch on,” Vick said Friday about the Oprah interview at the Maxwell Club Awards via the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Vick also missed appearing at a recent charity event called "What it Takes" reportedly for "personal reasons."
