The former NC State quarterback and formerly current Asheville Tourist second baseman, has become the newest member of the Wisconsin Badgers. Russell will be able to play right away for Wisconsin due to the loophole in the NCAA rules that allow graduate students to play right away as long as they enroll in a program that their former school doesn't have. What that program will be for Wilson, I haven't seen in any story.
When I wrote about Wilson visiting Auburn, I found out that Wilson's people were calling it "a job interview." I also noticed that the Colorado Rockies (Asheville's MLB parent club) wanted "a significant portion" of his signing bonus back if he chose football this Fall.
Wisconsin didn't have an experienced quarterback on the roster before the addition of Wilson. Now, the Badgers have to be a contender to repeat as B1G Ten Champions.
