Mike McQueary Files Whistleblower Lawsuit Against Penn State
Former Penn State assistant football coach, Mike McQueary, has filed a Whistleblower lawsuit against his former employer according to several reports.
McQueary is best known for his disturbing testimony where he admitted to seeing Jerry Sandusky engage in illicit acts with minors in the Penn State shower room. McQueary claims that comments made by the University have harmed his reputation.
He also claims the University has caused him distress, anxiety, humiliation and embarrassment and he seeks millions of dollars in damages.
From the Associated Press:
"Spanier's statements have irreparably harmed (McQueary's) reputation for honesty and integrity, and have irreparably harmed (his) ability to earn a living, especially in his chosen profession of coaching football," the lawsuit said.
Regardless of how this lawsuits ends up, this is just yet another bout of bad publicity for Penn State. It appears it will be years before they can move past this horrific scandal.
