Tony Parker’s name continues to surface as the NBA draft approaches, fueling rumors that the San Antonio Spurs are looking to unload the three-time NBA All-Star point guard in exchange for a first round draft pick. Some of the likely destinations for Parker are the Toronto Raptors, Sacramento Kings, Denver Nuggets, and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Parker was once one of the league’s most dynamic point guards, but has recently seen his numbers drop significantly due to injuries. However, if placed with the right team, he could provide instant veteran leadership and superior ball-handling skills. On the downside, at age 29, he no longer possesses the benefit of youth or the burst of speed that often left his opponents standing flat-footed.
More importantly, Parker no longer has the beautiful Eva Longoria by his side, which we feel hurts his Hollywood appeal trade stock dramatically.
