According to Bobby Petrino Sr. , his namesake son has a desire to coach next year for the Wildcats. The elder Petrino made this revelation in an interview with the Louisville Courier-Journal on Wednesday. "I just know this, that he's interested in Kentucky," Bobby Petrino Sr. told the newspaper. "He wants to stay in the SEC. That was his life's goal was to go to the SEC." "You know, he made mistakes," Petrino Sr. told the paper, "but he couldn't have gone through any punishment worse than losing his job. He's missed coaching tremendously." It’s not very often that a coach in Petrino’s position get to call their shots. Clearly Petrino has a great PR team behind him that’s pushing his name for these coaching openings. Unofficial word out of Kentucky is that they want no part of hiring Bobby Petrino and his sketchy past to lead their less than impressive football program.
