The Pro Bowl officially represents the end of the season for 30 of the NFL’s 32 teams. While most of those players won’t be as busy in the offseason I predict that two Pro Bowlers will be working nonstop. Not necessarily on the football field but in the acting studios.
After successful seasons and statistics, I think the two players that will benefit most from the offseason endorsement deals are Russell Wilson and J.J. Watt.
Wilson, the starting quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, is a legitimate candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year. As a handsome and wholesome football player, family friendly companies will be ringing his agent’s phone off the hook. I can see Wilson hawking an amusement park or a toy store.
Watt, potential Defensive Player of the Year candidate from the Houston Texans, is equally as popular among fans and fellow footballers. I could see him sponsoring a sports utility vehicle or a sudsy beverage.
It will be interesting to see if my predictions pan out. We may see Wilson and Watt in the Super Bowl via their commercials before they ever get there as a player.
