Back by popular demand. (Not!)
After my first foray into NFL personnel that could have second careers as celebrity impersonators, it just seemed that I became aware of more lookalikes. It was as if my eyes were opened to new NFL players and their Hollywood twins. Plus my wife was totally on board with helping me.
In fact, she suggested the first one. While watching the Thursday Night Football match-up between the Arizona Cardinals and the St. Louis Rams my wife got all excited because she said Rams' quarterback Sam Bradford looked like a young Ryan Reynolds. An actor, Reynolds may be best known for being the ex-Mr. Scarlett Johansson. His most well-known performances include the action film The Green Lantern and the Sandra Bullock chick flick, The Proposal.
I discovered the next lookalike. But my wife did put her own stamp on it. She says this NFL player only looks like the celebrity when his helmet is on. I disagree. I think Houston Texans' quarterback Matt Schaub looks like actor/director Ben Affleck with our without the helmet. True, Schaub has less hair than the star of the new release Argo. But their faces are a dead ringer.
The final set of lookalikes doesn't involve a celebrity from tinsel town. Instead, it is a comparison of two football players. Interestingly enough, they both play quarterback. Even more interesting, they both play in the same division, the AFC North. And still more interesting than that, they both start for teams in Ohio. I am, of course, talking about Brandon Weeden of the Cleveland Browns and Andy Dalton for the Cincinnati Bengals. The rookie Weeden and the second-year Dalton, with their red hair and boyish faces, look like they could definitely be brothers. Possibly twins.
You can check out the original version of NFL Celebrity Lookalikes here. And if you spot any other celebrity doppelgangers on the sidelines, share them for when my wife and I get around to volume three.
