Michael Sam is getting a lot of attention right now. The University of Missouri defensive player has come out as the first openly gay player to enter the NFL Draft. Lots of pundits and professionals are weighing in on his decision. Most are being supportive -- it is the politically correct thing to do. But the person I most want to hear from has not publicly discussed the matter that I know of. What does Tim Tebow think? If Tebow supports Sam he risks alienating his large, enthusiastic evangelical Christian fan base. If he has negative things to say about Michael Sam's decision or lifestyle, the negative publicity Tebow would receive will make it even harder to return to the NFL. You'd think that at some point someone will ask him the question. He will likely try to avoid it for as long as possible. But he works for ESPN now so he is getting paid to offer his opinion. What will he say? I hope he sticks with the biblical worldview on the matter.
