I wrote this back in October: Are we heading for a Super Harbaugh Bowl? Well, with only one weekend of games left before the Super Bowl, it looks like it might end up being prophetic. John Harbaugh's Baltimore Ravens team faces the New England Patriots in the AFC championship game. And his younger brother Jim's San Francisco 49ers travel to Atlanta to face the Falcons in the NFC championship match up. The original article is a bit outdated. I question the ability of Alex Smith to lead the 49ers to another conference championship. Of course, the 49ers have already replaced Smith with young quarterback Colin Kaepernick. And the first article mentions that Ray Lewis is out with an injury. But he has since returned for the Ravens during their playoff run. If a Harbaugh v. Harbaugh Super Bowl happens the media will go crazy. They will talk about nothing else for 2 weeks leading up to the big game. They'll be interviewing the family nanny and mailman to find out what kind of brothers the Harbaugh boys were. That will most likely get old. Still, it will be a true family rivalry. And both teams can be exciting to watch. So I won't complain. I'll just watch the brothers battle it out and bask in my ability to predict the future.
