Long live Sidney Bristow!
That used to be my battle cry in the early 2000s as a gigantic fan of the ABC-TV series Alias, starring Jennifer Garner. As the sportiest and sexiest super spy on the sci-fi drama series, Garner won a Golden Globe and a legion of mostly male fans.
Now Garner is one of the stars of the NFL-inspired motion picture Draft Day. With co-stars Kevin Costner and Dennis Leary they tell the story of the Cleveland Browns organization's approach to the NFL draft.
I do find it interesting that the film features the Browns as the chosen team. The Browns have been a supbar squad for quite some time. The flick might have generated some more upfront buzz if the characters worked for say the Patriots, Broncos or another more popular team.
Having said that, I still want to see this movie, if for no other reason than because I remain a huge fan of Jennifer Garner.
