“Book ‘em Danno.”
When I was a kid my parents were huge fans of Hawaii Five-O. Now as an adult, my wife is a big fan of the updated version. I was blogging earlier this week while she was watching Monday’s episode. I got sucked into the show because it cleverly featured the NFL Pro-Bowl in the plotline. It was entertaining to see Houston Texans running back Arian Foster guest star as himself in the episode. He did a credible acting job as a witness to an altercation who ends up punching a guy out.
These days the Pro-Bowl doesn’t get a lot of respect. It has a decent TV audience but it gets lambasted by the press for poor player performances. Positive media coverage can’t hurt and it was wise for the NFL to cooperate with Hawaii Five-O. Because the annual all-star game is set in Hawaii it would be fun for the CBS drama to incorporate it into an episode each season.
Next year, let’s hope they get Tim Tebow to guest star.
