The Houston Rockets and the Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to a trade that would send Rockets forward Chase Budinger to Minnesota for the number 18 pick in Thursday's NBA Draft.
Budinger has spent his entire NBA career in Houston after being traded to the Rockets and trade night by the Detroit Pistons.
Budinger will bring some much needed three point shooting to Minnesota. Budinger shot 40.2 percent from three point land and 44.2 percent from the field last season. Only Kevin Love and Nikola Pekovic, of the Timberwolves starters, shot better than Chase Budinger.
The Wolves now only hold one pick in the draft at number 58 in the second round.
Minnesota coach Rick Adelman coached Budinger in his first two seasons in the NBA.
