TCU QB Casey Pachall Arrested for DWI
NBC Dallas-Fort Worth reports that TCU quarterback Casey Pachall was arrested Wednesday night near the TCU campus and charged with driving while intoxicated.
A Fort Worth police officer noticed Pachall driving through a stop sign when he pulled out in front of the officer. Pachall also hit a curb, according to the officer.
The news station reports that Pachall's blood alcohol was at .17, more than twice the legal limit in the state of Texas and as of this morning, Pachall remained in jail held on a $1,000 bond.
"We are aware of the situation. We're trying to gather facts and information to determine what our next steps will be," said TCU spokesperson Lisa Albert.
This is not Pachall's first brush with the law. He lived in the same house as former teammate Tanner Brock who was arrested for possession of marijuana. Pachall has admitted to drug use in police interviews, but was not arrested at the time.
