Say what you want about Mayweather-Marquez (September 19 - 9 PM ET, HBO PPV), but I'm looking forward to it simply because it features two Jordanesque athletes.
Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is a big mouth who commands the big bucks, but he trains hard and backs up his talk. His mastery of boxing is astounding, and he sees the fight in slow motion. Most importantly, when people doubt him, he steps up his game.

Juan Manuel Marquez's longevity amazes me. Marquez will be 36 on fight night, but he keeps on going strong and shows few signs of slowing down. Whether his opponents are bigger (Joel Casamayor) or springier (Juan Diaz), he beats them decisively, as long as they aren't named Manny Pacquiao.

I admit that the technical styles of Mayweather and Marquez could potentially end up becoming a snorefest, but I can't wait for this fight to start.
Because I've been missing my Michael Jordan fix since 1998, and this fight has that Jordanesque aura.
P.S. Mayweather/Marquez 24/7 premieres Saturday August 29 at 10:15 PM ET.

Is Floyd Mayweather a Bigger Pay-Per-View Attraction than Manny Pacquiao?
Manny Pacquiao seems to be the name on the tongue of just about every fight fan at the moment.
After the "Pac-Man's" explosive victories over Oscar de la Hoya and Ricky Hatton, it would seem as though Pacquiao's long journey from poverty to superstardom had finally been completed.
There was little doubt that Pacquiao topped the Welterweight division and was at the head of the mythical...
