Pacquiao vs. Mayweather: Make it Happen!

Mayweather is to slick and fast for Pacquiao. He dosn't look for you he waits for you to look for him and then counters! The way Pacquiao fights and the way Mayweather fights are two completly different styles and that would give the edge to mayweather. If Pacquiao came in with a flurry Mayweather could simply counter him and catch him with a left hook or strait right. This would be a very interesting match up and would love to see one of them get knocked out!

MAYWEATHER doesn't have the balls to fight MANNY.... or COTTO or MARGARITO or PAUL WILLIAMS or.....Anybody that really matters. Fraud Mayweather is right where he belongs if he doesnt want to fight the best.. Retirement. Oscar vs. Floyd was competative and FLOYD was unimpressive. Look WTF MANNY did to Oscar. Manny BARELY beat Juan Manuel...Floyd is 10x better..He gets hit WAY to much to get in the ring with Floyd

Manny is not the same fighter he was against JMM, the fact is the golden boy could not work the jab because of Pacman's movement. Manny is way too fast and elusive for Floyd to establish his only real weapon, a jab. And if you think the pretty boy has a puncher's chance, that's just wishful thinking. Floyd hasn't fought an elite fighter in years, he would be simply outclassed.

Hatton will kill mayweather. What happened Hatton got mugged!. Not to mention PBF has beaten Corrales, Corely, and a ton of other top "5" or better guys while they were in their 'PRIMES" Dela never beat one top ten guy in their prime, He lost to moself twice, hopkins, trinidad, but ppl love Dela. and hate on FLOYD WHY? PPl wont be sastisfied until he loses, which wont happen. After he beats pac man, you will have somebody else you say he should fight. When does the man get his respect when he kills himself???

Pacquiao's is just incredible. He has improved a looooot.
de la hoya is taller and bigger than Pacquiao, but Pacquiao beat him by TKO and it's not even a close match.
Imagine what could Pacquiao do to a boxer that is smaller than de la hoya...

thi will be the biggest fight of the century. Earlier this year, people want Pacquiao vs Oscar match. The match happened.
Oscar is a great boxer(greater than those boxers that you mentioned) and is taller and bigger than Pacquao but that didn't scare Pacquiao.

This Manny vs Mayweather fight would have already happend if Mayweather wasnt too chicken to fight. I know people will pay thousands of dollars to see this fight ringside

REally Really, when was it supposed to happen?!? This fight was never even thought of before now. Jesus another boxing weekend know it all. If you look at PBF resume, he has always fought top 10 fighters, and champions. U like Dela hoya who I beat you just love, and swears he was a real champ even though he never beat any top ten fighters in there primes. LOL, get a job!

The only proble with manny walking him down is this. Dela never got off, so we don't know yeet if PAc can take a punch from a man that is 10-15 pounds over his natural weight. We might see when he fghts Hatton. But mannny's chin hasnt been tested at this weight, so I wouldnt get too confident yet until we see him take a real solid punch. just my opinion

All I know is it would be a great fight, and it has to happen. Anyone who is a boxing fan and does not want to see this fight does not care about the well being of the sport. This is a fight that will create more hype than any other fight out there and put boxing back where it should be. Hell I would even bet that it breaks PPV records and most imporantly be a competative fight and probably legendary. I do not think I am exagerating at all, IMO this fight is just as big the great Leonard/Duran fight. And to be honest most people will probably critisize Mayweather for taking a fight against a smaller man once again, but most people seem to forget that Mayweather used to be a featherweight and it is kind of rediculous and unfair to say he has to fight full fledged welters to cement his legacy(PACMAN IS NOT THAT MUCH SMALLER THAN MAYWEATHER, JUST SHORTER).
Anyone who watched the fight last night should be convinced PACMAN is a true P4P king, and even though he has only fought one fight at Welterweight and skipped the lightwelterweight division his skill set alone would make a fight with guys like Cotto or Mosley very competative. Alot of people think that size is a huge advantage in boxing,but time and time again legends of the ring prove that skills can over come size anyday. This would be a real fight, the 2 best P4P fighters on the planet going head to head on equal terms, it does not get any better than that.

I surprised with all this pacman mayweather outrage, actually im not, i just think that margarito deserves him, plus i don't think he has a chance against him. yes, floyd loves to play defense, but margarito is just too much, he makes you fight 36 mins with no break. Would Margarito get hit? Yes, would he get hit a lot? yes. Would he care? not a bit, did you see his face after he fought cotto, it looked like he could fight another 8 rounds. Floyd will never take this fight though, NEVER. I would enjoy watching this fight though.

Mayweather had a hard time disposing Oscar dela Hoya, unlike Pacman, who easily demolished the Golden boy.

Unfortunately, that has no bearing on what would happen in a fight between Manny and Floyd. Styles make fights. Oscar weighed 154 when he fought Floyd, and had a different trainer as well.

Not taking anything away from Pacquiao, but just because A>B and B>C, doesn't make A>C.

How can you compare hatton and pacquiao? Although both aggressive fighters, both fight with a completely different style. Manny throws a lot more punches and therefore much tougher for a counter puncher to pick off. Especially since Manny can throw from so many different angles. Manny's style of bringing pressure is with his quick hands and rapid pace. Its an interesting matchup, but the best fight to look at is the Marquez-Pacquiao II. Marquez did a lot of damage with his slick skills, but took a lot of damage to dish a lot of damage. I would like to see Mayweather in a similar position, it might make turn me into a fan of his.

Let's be honest. DeLaHoya was over the hill, as well as over-rated. as for Pacquio, He does leave himself open for power shots. The experts say Pacquio went up 2 weight divisions, but he was 135 lbs, if he was 3 lbs. As for Mayweather, he ducked certain fighters cuz the $'s weren't high enough. Sad but true, He is greedy. If they offer Mayweather enough $, I think he'll come out of retirement. As for Ricky Hatton, He needs to run as fast as possible back to England...

I truly feel that mayweather jr. retired to early. I mean ya he defeated DelaHoya and it was a close fight in my opinion. I mean if mayweather was as good as he claims he would have TKO'd Delahoya so What pacquiao did to delahoya in comparison to mayweather just goes to show u who wold win the fight between manny and floyd! If the money is right, Mayweather will come out of retirement to take the fight. Right now, this is the most intriguing fight out there and it's actually one that has real relevance, especially in the P4P discussions.

I'd love to see this one play out, but I'm probably going to go with Mayweather by decision or a late-round TKO. He's too slick defensively, which is something Manny is sorely lacking in. Eventually, Floyd will time Manny and start opening up and landing clean shots.

Floyd fought Oscar at 154 not 147 like Pacquiao. In the center of Floyd was much faster then Oscar.
