According to an article published Sunday on FightNews.com, mediocre pugilist Amir Khan has emerged as the frontrunner to face the great Floyd Mayweather on May 3. The 26-year-old Khan (28-3, 19 KOs) was tentatively slated to scrap IBF welterweight titlist Devon Alexander this December at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn. Amir Khan (28-3, 19 KOs) has emerged as the front runner to face, P4P No.1, Floyd Mayweather on the 3rd May, 2014. The venue is unlikely to be in the UK, mainly because of tax reasons, so expect it to take place at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
With his solid win over Canelo Alvarez, Floyd Mayweather has further solidified his place as the sport's pound-for-pound king, and as it's biggest draw. The days of rivalry with Manny Pacquiao are over, and no one is talking about age or rust any more. In fact, the only question mark hanging on Floyd Mayweather these days is "what now?"
