An astrology lesson

I have never been into astrology or horoscopes. The only thing I know is, because I was born on April 4, I'm an Aries. Just like John Stockton and Jerry Sloan. This week, while gathering material for stories about the induction of Stockton and Sloan into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, I was double-checking their ages and looked up their birthdays. Stockton was born on March 26, 1962. Sloan was born on March 28, 1942. Those birthdays are close to mine, but I figured they must fall under another astrological sign because they are in a different month. That's how much I know about this stuff. Out of curiosity, I looked it up and discovered that we are all members of Aries Nation. Out of more curiosity, I looked up what that is supposed to mean.
