Looks like Bob Arum was right when he said all of Floyd Mayweather’s legal issues could prevent a potential fight with Manny Pacquiao. Money May’s super fly ways were derailed when he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor domestic violence and harassment charges Wednesday.

Mayweather will have to serve 90 days in jail, perform 100 hours of community service, and pay a $2,500 fine. His guilty plea pertained to his abuse of ex-girlfriend Josie Harris last September. What made the judge so adamant about the punishment was that the violence happened in front of their children, and that Floyd threatened his kids. Floyd also pleaded no contest to misdemeanor for poking a security guard in the face. The prosecutor was really out to get Floyd.

“He just continually gets himself into trouble and he is able to get himself out of it as well. Essentially it is because he is who he is and is able to get away with everything,” Prosecutor Lisa Luzaich said. “The only thing that’s going to get this man’s attention is incarceration.”

The judge agreed.

“Punishment is appropriate,” Judge Melissa Saragosa said. “No matter who you are, you have consequences to your actions when they escalate to this level of violence.”

I’m glad that Floyd’s getting some jail time for his terrible behavior. He’s had the attitude that he’s untouchable because of his money, and he really isn’t. But this sucks for boxing fans. Floyd has been postponing a Pacquiao fight for a while, and now we have to wait even longer before it happens.

About the only positive here is envisioning what Mayweather would look like behind bars. We have a sneak peek, courtesy of Matthew Funtime:
