In an article by ESPN New York,  undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr. will select his next opponent next week.  Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer was impressed by Robert Guerrero’s performance last week and would really like to put him in front of Mayweather.  Schaefer was quoted as saying that he is talking to Mayweather’s camp to see what the possibility is of that matchup in the ring.  Schaefer would also continue on to say, Floyd likes challenges.  Floyd doesn’t shy from anyone.  Now, he will say, “Let’s see where the money is.” The three possibilities are Guerrero, Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez.  Guerrero might be a great fight to watch, but if Floyd wants the dollar signs, he has to look at Cotto or Alvarez. On the other hand, the timing of this is really great.  Floyd Mayweather, Jr. wants to announce his next opponent next week.  Another notable event in boxing that is occurring next week is Manny Pacquiao‘s PPV bout against Juan Manuel Marquez.  Oh, the irony.
