Zanfer Promotions has announced its bout between Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez and Argentinian Cesar Cuenca scheduled for 21st April this year.
Marquez, known for his pinpoint accuracy, has impressive record of 39 knockouts from 53 career bouts out which he has lost only 6 and drawn 1.
Marquez, also known as Dinamita, is the current three division world champion and has won a number of titles including Ring Magazine Lightweight Title (2009-present), World Boxing Organization Lightweight Title (2009-present), World Boxing Association Lightweight Title (2009), which was stripped from him because he fought outside it last year.
Marquez could have fought with Lamont Peterson, but WBA’s order for a Lamont-Khan rematch meant he had to change course and take on undefeated Cesar Cuenca. Cuenca has won all his 42 fights with only knockout and no drawn bouts.
