We’ve got a big fight coming up on Saturday, and I wouldn’t mind watching Floyd Mayweather get knocked out for once. I don’t really know if Miguel Cotto is good enough to do it, but I’m so fed up with Mayweather’s steadfast refusal to fight Manny Pacquiao that I’ve turned on Floyd completely. You want to be the best? Fight the guy who everyone thinks is better than you, not Miguel “I’m not very important in the boxing world” Cotto. Seriously – this Mayweather-Pacquiao fight is never going to happen right? It’s like the Loch Ness Monster. Everyone claims that it exists, but really it’s just a bunch of elephants walking underwater. I hope they both get knocked out in their respective fights so neither of them are champions anymore.

Between Pacquiao’s opposition to condom use in the Philippines and Mayweather’s consistent domestic assault and just downright douchebaggery, neither of them are particularly easy to root for. At least Mayweather is funny, and this video shows a little of that, and I know that they both work hard, but I think I’m now a full on Miguel Cotto convert. In fact, scratch what I said before about him being insignificant. Miguel Cotto is my favorite boxer of all-time.  That’s right. At EPT, we’re tired of Money Mayweather’s shenanigans and we’re tired of Pacquiao “trying his hand in music.” How about instead of singing “Sometimes When We Touch,” you fight somebody worth a damn, Mr. Senator.

Ah, this just turned into a rant. Go ahead and watch Floyd train in this video, then lament the fact that we’ll never really know if he or his Filipino counterpart are all-time greats or just two guys who were scared to lose. At least Pacquiao will always have his political career and Floyd will have $1 billion dollars, plus a long history of felonious activity. But for just $64.99, you can watch the match-up we’ve all been waiting for – Mayweather v. Cotto.
