Robert Guerrero beat Andre Berto by unanimous decision to retain his WBC interim welterweight championship belt on Saturday in Ontario, Calif., and he called out Floyd Mayweather Jr. following his win. “Oh yeah, definitely. Like I said, I want to fight the best. I’m looking for Floyd Mayweather next. Pretty Boy, let’s do it!” Guerrero said when asked by HBO’s Max Kellerman about a potential rematch. Guerrero is now 31-1 and hasn’t lost since 2005. Could he be in line for a shot at the undefeated Mayweather? Possibly. In January, Guerrero and Canelo Alvarez were reported to be in consideration as opponents for Mayweather’s May fight that went to Miguel Cotto. Guerrero also has another advantage when it comes to negotiating a fight with Mayweather: He is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, which often promotes Mayweather’s fights. Guerrero getting a shot at Floyd is dependent on whether Mayweather wants to fight. Floyd hasn’t given any indication since being released from jail about his future fight plans. He has only fought once per year since 2009. Guerrero was likely not big enough of a name to face Floyd earlier this year, but after putting on a classic fight with Berto, he has a lot more recognition among fans. He won by a score of 116-110 on all three judges’ cards, and he left Berto with two badly battered eyes: Multiple boxing writers speculated after the fight that Guerrero could be Mayweather’s next opponent. Both SI’s Chris Mannix and the LA Times’ Lance Pugmire mentioned the possibility. I’m thinking soon, probably around December 7th–why waste a chance to steal MP’s thunder– @floydmayweather will decide to fight Guerrero. — Chris Mannix (@ChrisMannixSI) November 25, 2012 Guerrero called out Floyd Mayweather after his victory tonight. I’m hearing a good rating makes the bout Mayweather’s most likely next bout. — Lance Pugmire (@latimespugmire) November 25, 2012 We shall see if that ends up happening.

Redskins tickets selling for as little as $1

To say that the Washington Redskins fan base is a little fed up would be an understatement. The team is now 3-9 on the season and is 6-22 since a surprising playoff campaign back in 2012. If you wanted evidence of a group of fans that really isn’t prepared to support this current product, there is no reason to look further than the ticket prices for Washington’s upcoming home...

With Derek Jeter riding off into the sunset, the Yankees needed a shortstop. The Diamondbacks were always somewhat natural trade partners, given the presence of both Didi Gregorius and Chris Owings.
