There's been talk over the past few days that Amir Khan ditched his December fight with Devon Alexander, opting instead to move straight into a match against Floyd Mayweather in May 2014. Khan's team has released an official statement denying these rumors, and stating that Khan is very much preparing to face Alexander... once an agreement can be reached, that is.
Team Khan would like to dispel recent reports that Amir Khan has pulled out of a potential match-up against Devon Alexander on December 7th, taking up a fight against Floyd Mayweather in May of next year instead.
Contrary to this story, Amir Khan is currently in training camp in San Francisco with the aim of fighting again in December against Alexander once an agreement can be reached.
There's a few interesting points here, beginning with the ending to their statement, "once an agreement can be reached." Hmmm. But regardless, I don't see how Khan is an even passable, let alone...

Sometimes what is right morally, isn’t what is right financially. That is the situation that Amir Khan is currently in. Yesterday, a report came out that it was a done deal for him to fight Floyd Mayweather on May 3rd, 2014. According to the Daily Mail, Amir Khan will be the next man to get a shot a Floyd Mayweather. At this point, however, no contract has been signed, and this is still speculation. Anything can change, so be cautious of reports saying a deal is done not confirmed by both the Mayweather and Khan camps.
