Via Bush League Chronicle:

Any knowledgeable baseball fan has seen the 1989 flick Major League. You know, the one with Rick "Wild Thing" Vaughn (played by Charlie Sheen). It's a classic.

Well, there is a scene from that movie which depicts the Cleveland Indians wearing tuxedos for an American Express commercial.

Last week, the Sul Ross State University baseball squad recreated the scene, except they promoted their student ID cards, instead.

The D-III team nailed the spot. The only thing missing was the tuxedos.

Peter King, Red Sox picked the wrong time to send these tweets

Major news events usually lead to major social media fails. The Ferguson announcement resulted in a couple tweets from the Boston Red Sox and Peter King that couldn’t have been worse in the timing department. King inexplicably used the word “indictment” to talk about the Jets’ offense and special teams right when the announcement about Darren Wilson not being indicted...

Report: Doctors found mass on Eric Berry's chest

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Kansas City Chiefs have placed S Eric Berry on the non-football injury list, which ends his 2014 season. This is very surprising news as there had been no indication of the team’s placing Berry on the NFI list before this afternoon. Schefter doesn’t offer a reason for the move, but I’m sure we’ll have an update in the near future...

Jay Gruden: RG3 to remain starter against Colts

The Redskins lost again on Sunday as Robert Griffin fumbled to end their final possession. Griffin has been a hot target of criticism in Washington with the Redskins now 3-8 on the season. A week ago he threw his teammates under the bus following a blowout loss to the Buccaneers at which point head coach Jay Gruden said it was time for Griffin’s coddling phase to end. After...

LeBron James on four-game losing streak: 'I stink'

Tweet If the Cavaliers are to right this ship, their captain, LeBron James, will have to lead by example, something he hasn’t been doing during this four-game slide. Players have reverted to the old habits of not moving the ball, not playing defense, not getting back in transition and displaying poor body language. And James is not exempt. “We got a four-game losing...
