By Chad Lykins – The Duke Blue Devils meet the Santa Clara Broncos on Saturday afternoon after a nine-day break from action following back-to-back wins on December 19 and 20 against Cornell and Elon. Duke (11-0) returns to the floor as the No. 1 team in the country for the second week in a row and the 124th week in it’s storied history. The Blue Devils are led by standout senior and player of the year frontrunner, Mason Plumlee, who is averaging team bests in scoring and rebounding with 19.3 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. The Blue Devils also boast one of the most productive starting lineups in the country, as they account for 86.5 percent of the teams total scoring. Currently riding a six-game winning streak, Santa Clara (11-2) should provide a stern test for Duke on Saturday. The Broncos two losses both came in overtime earlier in the season.
