While Maryland's loss to Duke was painful, it was not particularly damaging to the Terps' effort to make the tournament. Other teams' evenings did not go so well, including Syracuse, Dayton, Baylor, Florida, and Ole Miss.

    This only hurts their overall record. As for the tourney, losing to Duke really never hurts.
