Butler scores a record 20 3-pointers in 92-50 rout of Cleveland St.

In a display of shooting that can only be equated to an artillery shelling, Butler scored a record 20 3-pointers in their game against Cleveland St. Ranked at No.10, higher than ever before, Butler showed its steel, and may have given all of us a little preview of their offensive ability come tournament time. Pete Campbell led the way with 8 3-pointers, 6 in the first half. Whats even more insane is that Campbell only attempted 11 shots from beyond the arc.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that Butler lit it up with 20 3's.

come tournament time, can they really compete? this won't just be one of those cinderella teams because the sportswriters and coaches respect their talent by giving them this lofty rating. But the question is about their size and strength. If you look at George Mason from last season, they rode all the way to the championship because their power forward, Jai Lewis, was playing out of his mind that tournament.

Take a look at Butler's roster stats (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/teamstats?teamId=2086), their leading rebounder is 6 feet tall and weighs 180. Their sharp-shooter and leading scorer as of late, Pete Campbell, doesn't get more than 25 minutes a game because he is absolutely nothing more than a slingshot. He will be guarded by athletic men from tough conferences and that will be the end of that.

As far as defense is concerned, I don't think they know of it. Greg Oden outblocks Butler 2 to 1, and if they cannot force turnovers they are going to have to rely on their jumpers to win games in the tournament.

I will be picking them out in the second round.

6 in the first half? ridiculous

FINDLAY WITH DUSTIN PIEFFIER , WOULD DOMINATE THE HORIZION AND THE MAC
