C Webb is not a fan of the Orlando Magic or I should say he is not a fan of how the Orlando Magic ignores big man Dwight Howard from time to time. The Magic blew home court advantage today to the 76ers mainly because they started jacking up threes and missing a lot of them. Meanwhile Howard had 31 points but did not see the ball a lot down the stretch. Chris had some issues with that. While Kenny and Charles tried to be a diplomatic about it Chris let everyone especially Kenny Smith know how...

i think they wanted to get the 3 ball going i don't think it was bad passing cause the sixers will let Dwight get the easy buckets thats better then them knocking down 3 pointers over and over if im the sixers i want Dwight getting the ball because i know i got 24 fouls to use on him every game and and when he goes to the line it hurts the magic do you want Dwight missing the FT or do you want a 3 point shooting team to take a chance on the 3 Dwight getting dunks is all good the fans will go crazy and you get 2 points but when you give up the and 1 down the other end that makes your monster dunk worth nothing i have friends that are magic fans and last night every time he dunked or got a basket they went crazy only to see my sixers come right down the curt and get the easy 2 and some times the and 1so getting him the ball wont matter if the rest of the team can't get going even if he gets 30 a game as you can see it wont matter they still need to play D

Why was Webber so ticked? Kenny is right too, that was bad passing. Kenny must have proclaimed his love for Orlando prior to this conversation.

I don't know why?? But I love watching Kenny Smith,Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson and now Chris Webber that's must see T.V.

Yeah I think I liked watching them talk at halftime and between the games more than the games themselves this weekend. And to Brickbreezy, I don't care how bad a free throw shooter a big man is, you gotta get him the ball. If free throw shooting dictated whether or not you give the big man the ball, then they wouldn't give the ball to Shaq or TD. Are you seriously gonna give up a 90% shot (layup) for a 35% one (three pointer) consistently?

They could do without Chris Webber !!!

As a post player for my early basketball career it is frustrating when you see another post player that could be dominating but the guards won't get them the ball. Howard isn't one who is going to create off the dribble from the top of the key so he relies on people to get him the ball when he's in scoring position. When they don't do that it is frustrating to watch. And it is more frustrating for a post player or former post player to watch because it's not smart basketball and also because they've been in that position and knows how it feels to be looked over. And it's even more incensing when you've got a goose egg for the half and you keep jacking up shots.
  • I'm no Hall of Fame coach but I watched that entire game yesterday and the Orlando Magic should NEVER go through a 24 second possession unless that man child touches the ball...He missed 2 shots from the field and 3 free throws yesterday, while Rashard Lewis had 3 pts at half and Turkoglu had a whopping 0...Van Gundy needs to get his act together..

Webber was absolutely right, get rid of those dummies that don't realize they have the most dominant inside presence the league has to offer right now! You keep going to him until the other team forces you to do something else. Great point guards recognize a mis-match and they exploit it. Magic did, Isiaah did, Stockton did, Payton did, Clyde did ect. Today's game is difficult to watch because these guys don't know simple fundementals. Magic Johnson could have averaged big scoring numbers if he wanted to but he knew he had an unstoppable force in the middle. The Magic need a true point guard!

They have one. He's injured. I said when Nelson went down that Orlando's hopes went with him. Alston is a good player but not the guy they need.

exactly. Jameer Nelson is an all star point guard....so they dont need a true point guard. They just need the one they have to not be hurt

im still waiting for him to pay back the money he stole from the sixers

Why wasn't Webber on the program last night?
    • Somemo32
I don't know but they need to keep Webber, Kenny & Barkley together for good. They are great together.

He is on the NBA channel with the Glove, Gary Payton. I saw him there last night when I was flipping between the Utah/LA & Portland/Houston games.
  • brickbreezy
he had 31 and the reason they lost was cause he was the only one doing his job if he had 50 what good would that do if your team drops the game like that
