Coaching in Sorrentine's blood
The father passes the gift of coaching off to his son.
Now it's T.J. Sorrentine's turn to impart wisdom and guidance, to mold minds and push the right buttons. To wit: T.J. seeks to model his approach after his father, Tom "Saar" Sorrentine, who is in the midst of his third decade of influencing youngsters at St. Raphael Academy. On the flip side, T.J.'s post-playing career is in full-flight after accepting an assistantship at Brown last month. "I've seen what my father has done up close and now that I'm older I realize all the lives he's touched over the years," said T.J. "Now I realize how special I had it."
