Duke goes into Beast Mode, defeats UNC 89-78

The #2 Duke Blue Devils defeated the #3 North Carolina Wednesday night by the score of 89-78. Ty Lawson sat this one out and it appeared to cost UNC, who could not run as good as they could with his presence. Tyler Hansborough had 28 points, but a poor shooting night for Wayne Ellington (3-14 8pts.) was a major factor in the game. And another well balanced scoring night for Duke was a key for their victory. Duke now moves to 20-1 0n the year and UNC falls to 21-2.

LOL! If Duke did lose this game, all they could do is blame themselves. No Ty Lawson, Ellington has the game of his nightmare, careless turnovers, and... I could go on, but i won't. Carolina's perimeter game was God awful on both ends, and ''THEY'' did everything right to win. However, you can't help but to think that this was a''free lunch'' of sorts for Mike and his kids. They should have won this game with all the ''ailments'' Carolina had. AH YES, The Hatred runs deep!! lmbo! See you in Cameron! lol! lol! lol! lol!

If Duke could sink any free throws early, it would have been a blow out.

Shoulda Coulda Woulda... A win is a win - and big props to Lance Thomas who played great last night, sick block on Danny Green. I hope that Thomas starts getting some more PT and keeps playing up to his potential

You're right. They Shoulda won by more, They coulda blew us out w/o Ty, and it woulda been better if Wayne showed up instead of going 3 and forever from the field. See ya in Cameron! lol!

JffMol your right on Lance, great game from him, and if he plays like that for the rest of the year it would be an added bonus

I don't know what's better. Beating UNC in the Dean Dome or losing the game but watching Henderson's forearm break Psycho T's nose. I think the loss is worth it.

both are good

They shot incredibly well, especially Paulus

You know what will be better than that?, Ty Lawson being Healthy In Cameron Leaving with a win. See you in 30 days! lol!

Damn we needed Lawson so bad, Thomas sucks
