Former Tennessee guard fails drug test, finds out he has a tumor
Former Tennessee guard Chris Lofton failed a drug test during the 2007 NCAA Tournament. But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The test revealed that he had a tumor and he underwent testicular cancer treatment, having surgery in March 2007 and radiation surgery for four weeks in May. He is now cancer-free. The information was kept private during the 2007-08 college basketball season.
