I agree with Awful Announcing that "hitting a dude in the back for no reason and then flopping just makes you look like a poor sport," but I'm not sure I agree that the video replay is as conclusive as suggested. Regardless, hating on Duke is fun. Gerald Henderson takes a cheap shot and follows it up with a violent flop.

Stephen Curry is what JJ Redick Should Have Been
Both were blessed with a deft shooting touch that could rip out your beating heart at a moment's notice, but in clutch moments, Redick mostly resembled the jangled father in the emergency waiting room, while Curry has morphed into Dr. Ben Carson in front of the watching sports nation.
Are the Duke Blue Devils legit?
"Gerald Henderson has improved tremendously after a tentative freshman campaign, Kyle Singler looks to be the second coming of Christian Laettner, and much-maligned point guard Greg Paulus has found his shooting touch after a horrible start to the season. The defense has been subpar, but it hasn't hurt them because Duke has so many players capable of a scoring binge."...
ACC Scouting Reports - Analyzing Shot Charts
Recently, our content partner Section Six posted a link to an article on Shane Battier and how the Houston Rockets use his unique abilities to win games. One thing that the Rockets do is go over Battier's defensive assignment and the zones on the floor where he shoots well and shoots poorly. This idea inspired me to show similar data for the ACC.
Over the weekend I acquired...

Looking Back: Duke 78, Maryland 67
That was one heck of a basketball game. 56 possessions in, the score was tied at 60, and neither team had led by more than 4. Over the game's last 12 possessions, Duke outscored the Terps 18-7, hitting some crucial shots (such as the one three from Scheyer on a 1-7 night), and picking up key stops. That was a challenging game in a hostile environment and the Devils never lost...

All I know is that Duke is now 0-4 against the spread in its last four NCAA Tournament games, losing three of the games outright as a solid favorite. From a gambler's perspective the Blue Devils are a gift because the lines on them are so often skewed due to the fact that they are such a public team. The only thing more fun than hating them is getting paid off on a bet and hating them.
