Chalmers
Mario Chalmers forces overtime with a spectacular shot that will surely be remembered in title game history, and in doing so helps Kansas and Bill Self finally win it all. But does that make Kansas a historic team?

  • The great question is, will we remember them and who they were 5 to 10 years from now. Quick, name the players on the championship Michigan St. team that won in 2000.

You looked it up, didn't you?

  • Kansas will not be considered a great team years from now. Memphis didn't look particularly sharp most of the game, and Rose didn't show up until the final minutes. Let's face it, Memphis didn't close out the game (1 of 5 from free throw line in final minutes) and Chalmers saved Kansas. Did anyone actually expect Kansas to tie it at the end of regulation? I think the win says more about Chalmers (how he shows up with the game on the line) than it says about Kansas.

  • Isn't any team that wins it all historic?
