Indiana and Sampson have reached a settlement of $750,000 to buyout his contract. Earlier it was reported that the players threatened to not play were Sampson to be fired.
When asked about the threat, probable Big 10 player of the year D.J. White said, "I won't say that it's not true." It remains unclear whether or not the players plan on boycotting.

Is the AD (Greenspan) gone? Seriously people, who in the heck gives a proven cheater a clause in his contract that prevents him from being fired. So that when he cheats again, you can't fire him, but you have to BUY him out, or else he'll sue you? Like I said yesterday, its a great contract if you can get it. Everyone knew that something was coming, today it came (or will come). Word all over town is that the Indiana Hoosiers will suspend men's basketball coach Kelvin Sampson immediately, then officially fire him once the men's college basketball season ends. Indiana is expected to make the formal announcement very soon.
