Mascots!!!

So with the off-season going so slowly and no new news to write about I thought I would take a look at the unsung heroes, Mascots! Best: Iowa St. Cyclones- Better than Tornadoes. Richmond Spiders- How about Richmond Black Widows? Texas Longhorns- Classic. Maine Black Bears- It's always good to have a mascot that lives in your state. Florida Gators- Being from Athens this really shouldn't be here but as a kid I loved alligators. Wake Forest Demon Deacons- What is a Demon Deacon? I don't know but it sounds cool. Colorado Buffaloes- It's always good to have a mascot that lives in your state. Drexel Dragons- Why is this not more common? Cal-St. Northridge Matadors- If you know what this is you'll get it. Mississippi Valley St. Delta Devils- What is a Delta Devil? I don't know but it sounds cool. Southern Utah Thunder Birds- Almost makes up for all those lame bird mascots. Florida A&M Rattlers- Everyone is scared of rattle snakes. TCU Horned Frogs- Because "Frogs" just wasn't fearsome enough. Louisiana Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns- My personal favorite. St. Francis (PA) Red Flash- Way better than the Kent St. Golden Flash. Idaho Vandals- Vandals? In Idaho!? North Texas Mean Green- Way better than the Dartmouth Big Green. San Diego St. Aztecs- Cool mascot except the Aztecs were never anywhere near San Diego. Arkansas St. Red Wolves- Formerly "Indians". Albany Great Danes- Best dog mascot of all. Worst: Ohio St. Buckeyes- It's a nut. Tennessee Volunteers- Volunteer for what? South Carolina Gamecocks- It's a chicken. Syracuse Orange- And they picked the worst color. La Salle Explorers- Everyone fears explorers. St. Louis Billikens- If you don't know a Billiken looks like a midget ogre. Penn St. Nittany Lions- Would have been fine with out the Nittany part... William & Mary Tribe- Tribe of what? Dartmouth Big Green- Almost as bad as Orange. Niagara Purple Eagles- Eagles are not purple. Akron Zips- What is a Zip? Centenary Gents- Gents? Like gentle men? Evansville Purple Aces- As if purple eagles wasn't bad enough. Stanford Cardinal- It's a tree. Hawaii Rainbow Warriors- Nothing a scary as a rainbow, although I will give them points for creativity Presbyterian Blue Hose- umm....
