  She doesn't deserve anything. Having a drink spit in your face is not the end of the world, and last time I checked you can't sue for hurt feelings, you have to prove actual monetary damages or that it caused such severe mental trauma that it caused your life to spiral into turmoil.
  
  I'm sick of people trying to cash in on the wealthy and misguided. This law suit shouldn't exist. I hope the judge laughs in her face and dismisses her case.
  
  Now if Johnson had hit her, that's another matter.

    gettin spit in ya face aint the end of the world but technically it is assault. these stupid ass athletes think they can get away with anything. if u or me spit at somebody we would have to pay. why shouldnt he?

      yeah, but assault is a criminal charge. This is a civil lawsuit. And if you file a civil suit for assault you can only collect for medical expenses, loss of income and "emotional distress."
      
      I know she wasn't emotionally shattered from one drink to the face.

  The sad thing is they're probably going to reach a "settlement" before it ever goes to court. Which would be a shame. I'd really like to see our legal system overhauled and things like "emotional pain and suffering" completely erased from the law.
