The four finalists for the Naismith Award are out. You can't really argue the four names that are included: DeJuan Blair, Blake Griffin, Tyler Hansbrough and Hasheem Thabeet. Isn't it a lock the award goes to Griffin? Although, the fans can sway the vote as their tallies make up for 25% of the voting.

While I agree Griffin is the best player in the country, the guys untested. Mizzou, Kansas, Texas, OK State are nothing compared to the competition Blair and Thabeet faced. Even Hansbrough faced better opposition, he just had a lot more help from his supporting cast.

I kinda agree with you DTRIK,But he did his thing against the competition he faced and He earned the P.O.Y but it's the Tournament now and hopefully he meets up with Blair,Hanbrough or Thabeet and then We can see what Blake is really made of Not taking anything away from the opposition he faced in the Big 12 this year..

Hansbrough and Thabeet definitely have more support at almost every position. Griffin will not back down from Thabeet, Blair, or anyone else as we have seen in the first two games. And, he keeps his cool, which is very important at tourney time. Michigan tried everything under the sun to rattle him, including bloodying his nose, and he just kept on rolling. If he had another big ugy inside to support him, we know what this team would do.
