Hundreds of fans, who were informed by Yankee personnel that last night’s game between the Red Sox and Yankees was rained out, only to have the game played anyway, angrily begged to be let back into the stadium at Gate 6, with one fan being arrested in the chaos. The ugly scene occurred after patrons were reportedly told by Yankee employees who walked the concourse holding pinstriped "How may I help you?" signs, that the game had been rained out. When the game started at 9:20pm, fans tried to get back into the stadium, hundreds of them at Gate 6. That’s when security denied access. A Daily News photographer shooting pictures of the confusion was threatened to have his credentials revoked. As reported by the New York Daily News [...]

There has to be a Lawsuit somewhere in all this Madness they just can't take People's hard earned money and then tell them that the game isn't gonna be played just to play and not let the Fans in...That Sucks!!

Yeah, pretty bad, huh? That will empty some more of those seats that they are having a hard time filling up.

This is inexcusable. First they have ticket prices that are so high that Joe the Plumber can't even afford the, now this??? Something has got to be done.

Hell, those tickets are so high, Barack the Plumber wouldn't be able to afford them.

I was at the game. No one said that the game was going to be called because of the rain. A few people did say that they thought it looked worse last night than it did on Sunday when they did cancel. I have never heard of any baseball stadium letting people re-enter, except for Fenway's Yawakey Way. They are trying to prevent two guys from going in together, one going back out with both the tickets and then giving the ticket that isn't his to someone else.
In my section, half the fans left at the end of the fifth. It was insane.

LOL, I could see random people walking around tell everyone the game is canceled. That is so wrong to do, and yet in my sick mind it's kind of funny.

"Ya wanna get back in, slimeball? Come back tomorrow an` pay for a seat an` yez can back in. Go `way, don`t bother me! Who needs yez?"

should have pulled all of ur money out of ur bank acount and bought a new ticket. Yankees have trouble filling a stadium this year

  • I used to be a Yankee fan until they took the taxpayers money built a new stadium and made the prices so high the taxpayers can't afford to go.My kids are almost begging for me to take them to a game. When I go I take one at a time.

*Scratching head* I think it would be cheaper to just all go to one game, if not you're paying for your ticket multiple times.
  • You're right.... But sometimes They're months apart when I can spare enough. Sometimes I send both of them alone.
