New NBA Flopping Rules Responsible for Coach K Staying at Duke?

The NBA announced today that it will begin fining players in clear cases of flopping. This is clearly a great idea, because flopping is a scourge on the face of basketball. The first thought that jumped into my mind when I heard about the new rules was "No wonder Coach K didn't take the Lakers job!"

Absolutely not. I am sick of hearing ridiculous sob stories because other people's teams can't keep the consistency that Duke does. This is a great picture because it shows Paulus dropping AFTER being hit. Being a Duke fan I have accepted that people will always hate the best, but this is the stupidest argument I have ever heard. If any coaching changes would arise because of this new rule, it would be Greg Popovich leaving because he teaches flopping to every person on that team.

Did you watch the video at the bottom of the post? Was that Paulus falling down after he got hit?

It's telling that you didn't say Paulus got knocked down. You said he dropped after getting hit. That's a flop.

Great point!
