Oregon's Malik Hairston to return for senior season, Coach Kent gets extension

The Oregon Ducks will have the services of forward Malik Hairston for one more year, as the junior decided to return for his final season of college basketball. Also, Coach Ernie Kent was signed to an extension, after what was thought to be his final year at the helm in Eugene. Kent has recruited well in his years at Oregon but has never really put it together on the floor, but this season's run in the NCAA Tourney secured his fate.
