    Actually Penn State's acceptance rate is pretty low, most students get denied or sent to one of their many many branch campuses. I think the number when I applied was around 40/100 got accepted to main campus. Of course I was in that 40% but I knew many smart kids who got turned away. Nice try though....Penn State still sucks.

      Must have changed.I knew people who went there in '94 who had old style SAT scores in the mid-800s.At the time most private universities were looking for 1000-1100 or more.Also,I had the extremem misfortune to have to live in State College for three years.I can assure you the students I saw were not at the top of the academic chain.As a Temple fan I silently await the day we beat them.Always like the PSU football following of hillbillies and yokels who couldn't get into Kindergarten that LOVE 'EM some Paterno football.The whole program's a joke.

        Always had a good time at Temple/Pitt games though.Good fans,exciting team.Had the pleasure of seeing Larry Fitzgerald play.Don't remember the score but it was probably like 56-10 in favor of Pitt of course.

        Yea its gone WAY up...their standards aren't quite as high as Pitt's though (thankfully I got in before they increased em!) That Temple-Pitt game was a lot of fun. After about 8 games of drunken dizzy bat we were ready to head in.

        It's a shame that PSU are big pussies and would never consider scheduling Pitt on a yearly basis for some Western PA rivalry.Guess it's too important to keep playing teams like Akron,Temple, and Youngstown State.

  Well if you recall the 2000 season...when Pitt beat them, Paterno had made the statement of us not being up to their caliber. Hes just bitter because we would not join him in his efforts to start a new conference. But fear not, his days in Happy Valley are coming to an end and the rivalry will begin again. We still chant PENN STATE SUCKS (among other things) at all of our home games.

  I'll be rooting for Pitt.Prior to Temple joining the MAC,when it looked like they we're going to drop football altogether,Paterno made several public statements that Temple SHOULD dump the program because they would never be able to compete at an acceptable level in D1 or D1AA.Funny that he found it acceptable to schedule Temple nearly every season.

    Well he was right, though it looks like Goldens doing some good things there so who knows. He probably figured that he'd help them generate revenue by filling up the Linc every other year

  Nah, they only played there once outta four games.Bobby Wallace was a moron and has returned to the slime of D2 alabama football.He allowed TU to completely self destruct while he stole money from the school for seven years.Golden would've righted the ship sooner but it took a couple years to clean up the mess.(I'm talkin' players slapping coaches,kicking team shooting dice during games,injured players treating themselves).We'll be good this year.Not Big East/Ten good, but I'd say we have a shot at winning the MAC and a bowl game.We might even slay the giant PSU in Crappy Valley. Can't wait for the fall!
